AD CRITIQUE

Olx, I like Eric Omondi's wife. Yes the one in this ad, she's such a great actor, I like her so much. Mmh! Some Kenyan actually made 738 million Kenyan shillings, that's about $8 million. Good cash for 5% stake in Airtel Kenya.  5% yes 5. This comes after the hyped Equitel I like the Equitel thing mmh! After being in obscurity as far as $ is concerned when you get it garner all you can billions, zillions if you can. Airtel ads continue to splash our screens, a granny knows more concerning internet bundles than youths? Only in ad. It's time for digital migration, left, right, center GoTv, Signet, Zuku and so on and so forth. Not bad it's their season. When we've made zillions we should remember the 'less fortunate' in society, this reminds me of so goodly couple that came all the way from U.K. and started a children's home here in MOLO, I can bet money that the business tycoons in town don't contribute a dime to this project. In Nigeria (who ...

Califonium ideas

In tech meetings around the world today mobile money is the main thing the innovator is actually claimed to be Kenyan. Golden guy, most claim that the guy wasn't sufficiently paid for his innovation by one of the telecoms in the country. The other day a student from Multi-media university in Kenya was doing his attachment at a certain company, while there he aired out an idea to his bosses there.  Before he could code the first line of his idea his invention was making rounds in Kenya, that's if rounds means money. Oh! We badly needs VCs, when I grow up i'll be one. I talked a while back about names of businesses and their outcomes. Standard Oil, General Electric, Biashara Masters (Njoro ) well an old employee of the latter started a business in town and called it Super Hardware, it sure is super today.

Golden Justice African narrative

Men it would seem are negatively charged Bushop James Karanja So they need to work hard to be positive. Every cloud apparently has a silver lining. Developing countries are a funny lot But is there a better place? Is Italy developing or developed? Berlusconi?? Italians must be in the funny fray? But is there a better place? In Uganda some diude was handed over to the ICC by some leaders who apparently don't believe in that court. But is there a better place? Haha! Leaders elected have almost similar characters. When they die you don't know whether to sympathise. Some are reported to be corrupt. Some are rumored to be wife snatchers, having extramarital relationships. When they die of unclear circumstances you don't know whether to sympathise with them or not. But is there a better place? The leaders increase their pay as the money increases so also do wives. Serves them right to have more money after all he that gives much receives much, give it to them the...

AD CRITIQUE

BE ST & WORST MARKETING Forget about love with the mandarin speaking fellow. So the good first the Airtel ad is HOOOOT! I like I lot. That Airtel dude is a good actor, the ad only coming to continue the self advertising done by the product Umliminet, I personally wanted to use Facebook for free only to find that it's reserved for Airtel users. So should I buy an Airtel line, mmh! .. The worst, IS  has ceased to be just an English word but an extremist group with sympathisers all over the world. How do you market a product that kills people? Eat this bread and you shall surely die. How many want to eat this bread? This car is sure to breakdown and kill you as you drive it. How do you market a religion by killing people Muslims as well as Christians? I guess what these jihadist need the most is marketing lessons. I read the monk who sold his Ferrari an in there you see that Buddhist monks are pro-life just like Christians. Otherwise the rains are on the way and they ...

Mandarin love

Apparently I am in love, mmh! Who cares. Actually I don't know. There is a problem however she speeks Chinese, yes Chinese and nothing else. How did you meet? Well the old times saying, 'love at first time. .' Oh boy don't you know how to speak Chinese? When someone speaks can't you understand? Not a single word. Poor thee the bible says two can't walk unless they are in agreement. Either you go to school and learn Chinese or she goes to school and learn English, better yet, both of you can go to school and learn. Well I don't know if she's willing, that's means I must go and learn a few Chinese words before I ask her. Okay. It's good for the above difference is just language. But suppose she learns a little English and while walking down some dark ally she meets IS sympathisers, they hear her talking to me or her friend in English and on learning that she had esteemed English and had gone to school to learn it get annoyed and execute ...

50 shades of grey or stray

My opinion. Most Africans who have visited America testify that movies do a great deal of advertising for America because what they saw on the ground was not what they watched in the movies. The movies showed utopia reality showed earth. A part of the earth. Being Kenyan I get pissed off when local movies or programs having lewd segments because those were the same things we were watching before the post election violence of 2007-08. Then we thought we were just okay but families were breaking and we didn't give a damn about that. We assumed that our rights were not being violated that we were actually enjoying them when when such lewd scenes crossed our screens. Under the table ethnicity was being a big issue, people weren't getting divided over ethnic lines, politicians were largely speaking trash (just being modest), created hate one to another, when they were broadcast on television, horrible. They shamelessly gave promises they knew they couldn't fulfill and so on...
